What is the PSC login for?
Since the Lok Sewa Aayog moved applications online, every candidate applies through an account on the commission's Online Recruitment Management System. Your PSC login (sometimes searched as "psc.gov.np login" or "loksewa login") gives you one profile – personal details, education, experience and documents – that you reuse for every vacancy. From the same account you apply for advertisements, pay the exam fee, track approval, download the admit card and see your application history.
Note the split between two federal sites: psc.gov.np is the information website (notices, advertisements, syllabus, exam centres, results), while psconline1.psc.gov.np is where you actually log in and apply. There is no login on psc.gov.np itself.
How to register a new PSC account (master profile)
- Open psconline1.psc.gov.np and choose Register.
- Enter your name exactly as on your citizenship certificate, an email you check and a mobile number you will keep.
- Set a strong password you have not used elsewhere, then verify your account as prompted.
- Log in and fill every profile tab: personal, contact, education, training, experience, professional, extra and documents.
- Open Preview, check every field and save. Errors here are copied into every application you submit.
Before you start, keep scans ready using our document checklist, and confirm you meet the age limit with the age calculator.
How to log in to psconline1.psc.gov.np
- Type psconline1.psc.gov.np in the address bar (don't rely on ads or look-alike links).
- Enter your registered username/email and password and press Login.
- You land on the dashboard with your profile, open vacancies and applied vacancies.
Bookmark the home page rather than an inner page: opening a deep link like /login directly can show a "404 Not Found" on the federal portal – start from the home page instead.
Forgot password or username (पासवर्ड भुल्नुभयो?)
- Click Forgot Password? on the login screen and request a reset for your registered email/mobile.
- Open the reset link quickly – these links expire – and set a new password.
- Check spam/promotions folders if the email does not arrive within a few minutes.
- Lost access to your email or phone, or forgot which email you used? Do not create a duplicate account; contact the commission's office through the contact details on psc.gov.np (or your provincial PSC website).
Filling the PSC online application form after login
- Find the advertisement number in the notice on psc.gov.np or on our PSC calendar.
- In the portal open the Vacancy list and select that advertisement.
- Choose the group(s) you qualify for – open (खुला) and/or inclusive quotas (समावेशी) – and your exam centre.
- Confirm the details and submit. The application then waits for fee payment and verification.
Not sure which posts fit your qualification? Try the post finder, then check the pay for Kharidar, Nayab Subba or Section Officer on our salary pages.
Paying the PSC application fee
After submitting, the portal asks you to choose a payment method. You can pay online through the government revenue system linked from the portal, or pay at a bank and upload the bank voucher (JPG/PNG under 500 KB) with its voucher number. Fees depend on the level and on how many groups you apply for – estimate yours with the application fee calculator. Many notices allow 7 more days with double fee (दोब्बर दस्तुर) after the normal deadline, but read your own advertisement before relying on that.
PSC admit card download (प्रवेशपत्र) – when it becomes available
The admit card is not available right after you apply. It appears in your account (applied vacancies) only after the commission approves your application and assigns roll numbers and exam centres – usually shortly before the exam. The exam-centre notice on psc.gov.np/category/center/all is the signal to log in.
- Log in to psconline1.psc.gov.np (or your provincial portal).
- Open your applied vacancies and the approved application.
- Download the admit card PDF, check your photo, roll number and centre, and print it in colour if possible.
Bring the printed admit card and your citizenship certificate to the exam hall. Our admit card guide has more detail.
Checking results and roll number
Your roll number is printed on the admit card. Written results, interview lists and final recommendations are published as notices under Results on psc.gov.np; search the PDF for your roll number. Individual marks can be checked later on the marks view page. Provincial results appear on each provincial website above.
Common PSC login errors and fixes
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Portal slow, "server busy" or not loading near the deadline | Apply in the first days of the window. Try early morning or late night, and don't keep refreshing the payment page. |
| "File size should not be more than 500KB" for photo/signature | Resize to JPG/PNG under 500 KB with the photo & signature resizer. |
| Certificate PDF too large or wrong format | Shrink it with the PDF compressor or convert images using image to PDF. |
| Wrong date of birth / age shows ineligible | Enter the B.S. date from your citizenship. Convert B.S. ↔ A.D. with the Nepali date converter. |
| Buttons don't work, blank page, 404 on refresh | Use the latest Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a computer, clear cache, disable ad-blockers and start again from the home page. |
| Login fails with correct password | Check Caps Lock and whether you registered on a provincial portal instead; otherwise reset with "Forgot Password". |
Federal vs provincial PSC login – what's different?
- Separate accounts: a psconline1 account does not work on provincial portals; register on each one you use.
- Different vacancies: the federal PSC handles federal civil service and other federal-level posts (plus exams it runs for some security bodies and public corporations); provincial PSCs cover province and local-level (स्थानीय तह) posts.
- Own notices and dates: each commission publishes advertisements, admit cards and results on its own website.
- Similar process: profile → vacancy → fee → approval → admit card works almost the same everywhere.
Prepare while you wait for the exam
Read the Kharidar, Nayab Subba or officer syllabus, practise topic-wise questions on practice, take full mock tests on exam and join live exams to test yourself under time pressure.
Sources: psconline1.psc.gov.np (upload limits and payment options as shown in the portal, checked 17 October 2026 (1 Kartik 2083)), psc.gov.np, and each provincial commission's website. Processes can change – the official notice always wins.
