Academic Eligibility

  • For Judicial Service, Administrative Services, and General Administration Group: Must have passed S.L.C. (School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • For Revenue Group, Accounting & Audit Group: Must have passed S.L.C. (School Leaving Certificate) or equivalent with relevant subjects like Mathematics, Commerce, Law, Economics, etc.

Age Limit

  • Minimum: 18 Years
  • Maximum: 35 Years (40 Years for Women & Disabled Candidates)

Kharidar Exam Selection Process

The selection process for the Kharidar exam is based on the Integrated and Unified Examination System, which is divided into two parts:

Part 1: Written Examination (300 Marks)

Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (100 Marks)

The first stage, also known as Preliminary examination is about the General Knowledge & & Basic Office Skills Test. It carries Objective Multiple Choice Questions. 50 MCQs carrying two marks each are asked in the exam, and students should complete the exam within 45 minutes. The total exam mark is 100; students should get 45 marks to pass the examination. 

For objective multiple-choice questions, 20 percent of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. However, no marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions. Calculators are not allowed in exams with multiple-choice questions. 

The first stage (Stage – I) of the written examination is a preliminary examination. This preliminary examination will only be considered a screening test, and the marks obtained in this examination will not be included in the main examination’s marks.

Stage 2: Main Exam (200 Marks)

Only candidates selected from the first stage of the written examination will be allowed to participate in the second stage. The second stage of the written examination has two papers (2nd and 3rd papers). 

The number of questions, marks, and weightage will be as specified in the relevant paper/subject. Each section of the subject-specific papers will have separate answer booklets. Candidates must write the answers to each section’s questions in the respective section’s answer booklet.

The merit list of the written examination is prepared by combining the marks of the second and third page (Stage II). The marks of the first stage wont be added.

Part – 2: Final Stage Examination (40 Marks)

Only candidates selected in the written examination will be allowed to participate in the final phase, which includes a computer skills test and an interview.

  1. Computer Skill Test: 10 Marks. It is a practical exam of 15 minutes.
  2. The interview is an oral exam that will carry 30 marks. The duration of the interview may vary according to the candidate.
